The software is suitable for use on any application requiring text files to be stored, organised and transmitted via a RS-232 interface and can be used to send text files between PC's via a serial cable.
The built-in database stores all of the programs created for different parts and also handles and unlimited number of controls. If you have 500 different CNC machine tools and 100,000 part programs for each the database will keep track of all of them. The database can be searched automatically for programs matching various criteria including, customer, part name, part number, notes etc...Matches found can then be send instantly to the CNC control via the built in DNC/Comms feature. The program content can also be searched, this can save repeat programming effort.
Visual CNC is designed to run on both a single workstation or over a network and can support an unlimited number of CNC controls all with independent communication settings. The database will run over any network and will centralise all data storage and automatically create backups. Visual CNC is compatible with Win95, Win98, WinNT, WinME, Win2000, XP and Vista and requires little system resources.
An advanced text editor is included with Visual CNC and is used for creating and editing programs offline, standard features include:- search, cut, copy, paste, renumber.
The communication package, built in to Visual CNC is comprehensive and can be adjusted to meet any requirement, a full selection of baud rates, stop bits, parity type, buffer lengths, etc are available. Connection to the CNC machine is very straightforward usually taking minutes and requiring no special knowledge or tools.
